About the Northern Beaches Eisteddfod

The Northern Beaches Eisteddfod was founded in 1953, originally established as the 'Warringah Eisteddfod'. Over the last 70 years, the Northern Beaches Eisteddfod has provided thousands of young performers in the Sydney community opportunities to pursue further study and excellence in Ballet, Dance, Instrumental, Vocal and Speech & Drama disciplines.

Following a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Northern Beaches Eisteddfod returned in 2023 with the Vocal and Speech & Drama categories, and will return again in 2024. The Ballet, Dance, and Instrumental categories will not be run in 2024.

The success of the Eisteddfod relies on our dedicated volunteer team. We are always looking for volunteer helpers to assist in the running of the annual competitions. By joining the passionate Northern Beaches Eisteddfod volunteers, you are supporting the hundreds of young performers on stage within our community. Learn more about volunteering.

Programme now available

The 2024 Programme is now available to view online. The Programme contains all of the performance schedules for the 2024 competitions.

2024 Entries have closed.

Thank you for entering the 2024 Northern Beaches Eisteddfod! The Programme will be available in early May once scheduling and venues have been finalised.

Syllabus & Entry: Now Available!

The 2024 Syllabus for the Speech & Drama sections, and Vocal sections, are now available to download. Online entry is also available, via the 'STARDOM' entry system.

The Eisteddfod committee would like to wish all competitors, teachers and families, a happy new year! We are excited to have the Vocal and Speech & Drama categories return again in 2024. The dates for Contemporary Vocal, School Choral, and Speech & Drama sections are now available.
